Busy Fall Weekend Coming Up

This weekend marks the beginning of the end of tourist season in Midcoast Maine. This is the final weekend of the Montsweag Flea Market and Monkey C Monkey Do until next season. It’s also the first weekend of the Wiscasset farmer’s market in it’s new location. There’s cut off the vine pumpkin/train rides. But the biggest event by far is the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest.

Damariscotta Pumkinfest and Regatta

The Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta is October 10th to 14th. There’s a full list of events on the festival’s website. Some of the more popular events include: Giant Pumpkin Carving and Painting, Catapult and Pumpkin Sling, Giant Pumpkin Drop, Pumpkin Boat Regatta. Farmer’s Market – Wiscasset

When: Thu, October 10, 3pm – 6pm
Where: Morris Farm education center 156 Gardiner rd, Wiscasset
For the first time in their winter location at the Morris Farm, the Wiscasset Farmer’s Makret it the perfect place to enjoy the goodness growing, baking, and being created across our community! Vendors indlude: Big Barn Coffee, Buckwheat Blossom Farm, Creamed Baking Co., Hawkes Farm, Island Mushroom Co., Micromainea, Pinetree Poultry, SeaLyon Farm

Cut off the Vine Pumpkins and Train Ride

When: Saturday and Sunday October 12 and 13 10:30am – 2:30pm
Where: Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum, 97 Cross Rd, Alna
In partnership with SeaLyon farms, railway passengers on the 10:30am, 12noon, and 1:30pm steam trains may disembark at Top of the Mountain station to visit SeaLyon’s pumpkin patch and farmstand to pick their own pumpkins.

Final Weekend of the Montsweag Flea Market

When: Saturday and Sunday October 12 and 13 7 am – 1 pm
Where: Montsweag Flea Market, Woolwich
This is your final chance this year to visit Midcoast Maine’s largest flea market on Saturday and Sunday before they close for the season.
