Sunken Steamboats of Moosehead Lake

Where Maine Maritime Museum
See the Midcoast premier of this new documentary featuring never-before-seen underwater footage revealing the discovery and history of the sunken steamships in Moosehead Lake. Film will be followed by a talk with director Ryan Robbins and producer Liz McKeil.

Intro to Linoleum Blockprinting – Class

When Fri, September 13, 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Where Midcoast Crafts, 75 Main St. Route 1, Wiscasset
Description An introduction to carving a linoleum block for printing. Students will receive guidance designing a graphic image, transferring the image to the block, safely cutting the design and printing. Final prints may need to be left to dry, and can be picked up at any time during gallery hours. Cost: $48. Midcoast Crafts.

Maine Open Lighthouse Day

When Sat, September 14, 9am – 3pm Description This popular annual event, is a once a year opportunity to tour dozens of lighthouses across Maine. The event is sponsored by the United States Coast Guard, the Maine Office of Tourism and the American Lighthouse Foundation offers the general public the rare opportunity to climb and learn about over two dozen historic Maine lights.
