The Weekend Before Christmas in Midcoast Maine

This is the final weekend before Christmas and you can still catch several holiday events in Midcoast Maine.

Holiday Market at Wiscasset’s Winter Farmer’s Market
When: Thursday, December 19th 2 – 5pm
Where: Morris Farm, Wiscasset
“Looking for gift ideas? With many guest vendors there will be merriment and lots of good cheer to add to your holiday! Join us at market tomorrow for our festive special holiday market from 2-5pm at The Morris Farm.

Free Holiday Wine Tasting
When: Thursday, Dec.19 4pm – 6pm
Where: TREATS, 80 Main Street, Wiscasset
“Hope you will join us at TREATS for a little sampling of great holiday wines!”

Trolley Caroling
When: Fri and Sat December 12th and 13th, 4pm – 8pm
Where: Downtown Bath
Get into the Christmas spirit trolleying around the city of Bath admiring the holiday lights, caroling all along. Volunteer elves will be happy to help you reserve your time on the trolley so you can enjoy some local shopping and dinning in Bath without waiting in line. Free tickets will be available beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Beer Tasting with Sansanoa Brewing
When: Saturday, December 21st 2pm – 4 pm
Where: TREATS, 80 Main Street, Wiscasset
“On Saturday we will have a beer tasting with Sasanoa Brewing from 2-4 pm. Merry Merry”

North Pole Express
When: Sat and Sun December 21st and 22nd, 10am – 5pm
Where: Boothbay Railway Village, 586 Wiscasset Rd, Boothbay
A winter train ride through Boothbay Railway Village. Family fun for everyone, young and old, the train to the “North Pole” has comfortable and steam heated passenger cars. So everyone can enjoy the winter wonderland of forest frosted with white snow; weather permitting. 

Gardens Aglow
When: Open daily from Dec. 19th until New Years Eve (except Christmas Eve) from 4 – 9 pm
Where: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay
“The magic begins as darkness falls. Join us to experience the brilliance of New England’s biggest and brightest light display a the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay! With over 650,000 lights, witness the transformation of our central gardens into an extravaganza of festive lights in a dramatic display of brilliant color. This year, we’re taking our dramatic display to new heights, incorporating—for the first time—our magnificent sculpture exhibit, Unearthed, by artist Steve Tobin.”
