The motel is our two story building hidden behind the trees at the north end of the property. The building is unusual in that it was built over two years. The owners of the hotel at that time didn’t want to take out a loan so they built only what they could pay for up front. The ground floor was built in 1971 and then rented out for the season. Then in 1972 the second story was built in 3 parts and lifted on top of the first.

The rooms on the ground floor have real wood wainscoting, the second floor has all new flooring. Our motel rooms are larger than many of the cottage rooms so most have two full beds or one king bed. There is also one suite. The second floor is accessed by and outside staircase and is less expensive than the first floor. Pets are not allowed in motel rooms.
