We have 29 cozy rooms all with a private bath, air conditioning, wifi, cable television and a refrigerator. Our newest rooms also have microwaves. For all other rooms our dining room is open until 9 pm and has a microwave, plates and silverware for guest use.
Our hotel was built and then and remodeled over the span of 100 years. This means that many of our rooms are unique in size and shape. In general our rooms fall into two categories:
Originally built as small cabins in the 1915’s, the cottage rooms were put into lines when motels were popular. They have all been completely remodeled and have knotty pine interiors and most have vaulted ceilings. Many of the rooms were expanded during their remodel. They vary in size depending on where the bathroom was placed. Most cottage rooms have just one bed that is either a full or a queen. But the recently remodeled rooms have two beds or are a suite.
This two story building was built in two phases. The ground floor was built in 1971 and then the second story was built in 1972 and lifted by cranes and placed on top of the first floor. The rooms on the ground floor have wood wainscoting while the second floor has wood paneling, is newly painted and has new flooring. I’m often told these rooms remind people of their summer camp when they were kids. These rooms are larger than the cottage rooms so most have two beds or one king bed. The second floor is $10/night less expensive than the first floor.
